Hi there!

I’m Kristin, the crafty, short brunette behind gourdgeous knits.

You’ve probably guessed from my blog name that I love to knit and crochet. And that I’m obsessed with fall. Yes, you read correctly–OBSESSED! The crisp cooler weather, the rusty orange, apple red, and cinnamon stick brown colors, the pumpkin spice flavored coffee, the Halloween and Thanksgiving holiday celebrations, and the gourds.

Oh my, the gourds!

It’s the perfect season to curl up on the couch with a hot apple cider in my favorite hand-knit sweater and binge-watch The Office.

I’ve been into arts and crafts my whole life. My stash of craft supplies is always growing as I tend to dabble in a little of this and that. Right now, if you were to rummage through what I’ve collected to date, you’d find anything from cute glittery stickers to scrapbook paper for every holiday to multi-surface acrylic paints to craft threads for every color of the rainbow to buttons of all shapes and sizes.

And of course YARN of all weights and fibers!

When I’m not crafting, I’m writing. These days I mostly journal, but I’ve been known to write a fictional story here and there, having majored in creative writing in college. My favorite thing about writing is that I get to be myself without any judgement.

Which is why I’ve started this blog. I want to be able to share my creative mind with you in the form of my latest handmade projects. I hope you enjoy my arts and crafts just as must as I enjoy making and writing about them.
